As predicted it rained pretty much the entire time we were at camp. We got to Burks Falls Saturday around 4:00 pm so we settled into the cabin for the rest of the day. Got up Sunday early ( to a beautiful day) and checked tree stands, trail cams and set up a tree stand for a new member.
Sunday night the rain started and did not quit. We could only manage about 6 hrs of hunting the four days we were in camp
Three of the eight members left on Tuesday due to the forecast. The rest of us road it out with hopes of the rain stopping but no luck. Good sign of rut activity but we couldn't spend enough time in the bush so no deer.
I was lucky enough to find an open spot at my old camp on Manitoulin Island so heading there for another week of whitetail hunting Nov 16th to 23rd, sure hope we have better weather on the Island
