That is the best data I have seen, I already settled on US869 2 years ago when working up a load for 140g accubond. Ended up at 3400+fps with just a touch more powder than his load, F215 primer. Thanks for posting it, most of those powders don't do it justice. I unloaded a factory 127g and it had 94.6g of powder that looked just like 869 and a 130g had 93 or 94g if I remember correctly, have it written down some where. Also my 3/4 inch group at 100 yds. was 4 shots in 1 1/4 in. and 3 of them were in 3/4 inch at 350 yards.

I had good success with the 125 grain partition in a 264 win mag.
Should be a good bullet in the 6.5-300 if you can get it to shoot at those velocities

I just did twenty 120g Balistic Tips with 92g of US 869. I'm going to take the LabRadar out with me next week to see how they do. I spent a lot of time prepping the once fired cases to fit my chamber so it will be interesting to see if I can hit or better the numbers in the data.

I considered the lighter bullets but the BC of the 140g lets it catch up in velocity by 300 or 400 yards. Sschfer, I am loading 91g with 140's so you will probably need to work up from 92 to get the max velocity with 120's, they will probably top 3600fps.

I agree, 92 was the midway starting point. I had this box of bullets for my old Grendel so i figured I'd use them up and get some data started at the same time. I do have a box of 140 Accubonds but I might save them for the Creedmoor. Somethng tells me that the Barnes LRX bullets may make my rifle happy so that's where I'm headed next.

Long time lurker, first time poster....and first time Weatherby owner.  I just added a 6.5-300 Mark V to the stable and will start experimenting with some loads once she's broken in.  I've compiled every (limited) bit of reloading data I could get on this round but hoping to keep this thread going with updated info.  Some of the powders and bullets I will initially play around with include:

IMR 7977
US869
Retumbo
H1000

Nosler 120 Etip
Nosler 140 AB
Nosler 142 ABLR
Hornady ELD-X

Anyone have any pet loads worked up yet (not already listed)?  Do the Mark V's seem to have a preference one way or another on seating depth (SAAMI specs or longer)?  I'll update as I have data of my own worth sharing...

Silverbulletmag if you use the search function, you will find a bunch of threads on reloading the 6.5-300 here. Welcome to the Nation!!!

Went out this weekend and broke in the 6.5-300.  Threw a few groups out there at the end of the day just to get a feel for it.  So far it seems to like the 129 and 140 grain Accubond LRs with a lighter end load of 7977.  It did not like the regular 140 Accubonds with the 7977 in any recommended charge range (also the only powder I've tried so far and wanted to burn up while breaking it in).  Wasn't looking to set any speed records but was happy with the 3200(ish)fps so far.  Very promising though and I'm sure this will be under half MOA once dialed in. US869 seems to be the most promising powder from all that's published as well so if it's under 1 MOA now, I like my odds. More to come after I've had time to try more loads...

You should add RL33 to the list. It performs well with the 127 LRX. I didn't have good results with US869, but it may have been a length issue. The Pearce data is awfully short ...
