Recently acquired a 280 Remington accumark in excellent condition. Was wondering if any of you gentlemen have any experience with an accumark in this caliber, and how it performs on whitetail thanks!

It's basically a 7mm in 30-06 case. Some even refer to it as a 7mm-06. A great fast round and a pretty flat shooter. Should be fine on Whitetail Deer with an appropriate bullet. When the 7mm Mags got popular the .280 kind of got left behind in the dust. No problem getting ammo for it and it's reasonably priced.

Speaking to the rifle, it's an AccuMark, you really can't go wrong there. It will kick like a 30-06, sharp and hard but it won't send you home with tears in your eyes.

You could add elk size game with the 160-175 grain bullets

I'd say it kills deer well with any bullet.I've heard that handloading can get this round to 7mm Rem mag factory load velocities and the AI version is even better.
Sorry... Yesterday was the last and final day for any and all complaints whatsoever.

Thanks for knowledge guys! I normally use my 257 wby accuguard I love that thing it's poison on whitetail with the 110 accubond. I got the 280 rem and a 270 wby on the same deal both are Accumarks and my first mark Vs I'm really excited to try them out. I started out with a S1 vanguard in 300 win mag a few years ago as my first weatherby, and after seeing its performance I never looked back to any other brand. I love the look and accuracy these rifles produce. My next purchase will be a 257 mag in a deluxe model they are pricey but worth every penny

Itís in an Accumark,a heavy, well-designed rifle. Recoil is going to be mild, unless you think a 30-06 in an 8 pound plus rifle kicks hard. The cartridge is basically a reinvented 7x64 Brenneke and is an excellent choice for deer or larger with good bullets.
