Good luck with you're new rifle, I can't wait to hear how it shoots.  How many other's do you have, which models, and do you load for them?
Nothing is better than a Weatherby, big bore magnum, or a Colt.

cool, if it's like mine, you won't be disappointed in how it shoots. Mine shoots one factory load 3/4 moa, and the other two factory loads  1/2 moa. Reloads, easily the same.   8)

What loads are you using in your's?  I have one in a Custom Lazermark but haven't loaded for it yet.

Fantastic calibre... essentially copied by Rigby to create the 450 Rigby Rimless Magnum. Strangley the same who swear by the 450 sometimes swear at the 460. Superb with 550gr and even 600gr bullets.

Enjoy it! Be sure to try 550gr North Forks.
I shoot cases with a belt because I feel the other cartridges need to pull their trousers up.

Chris:I love the Lazers. Is yours a 4 panel or 5 panel. Post pictures when you get a chance.

Here is what the previous owner said about mine
114.5gr H4895
 350gr tsx
 F215 primer
 COL 3.780
1.5@200 yards. 3000fps
Those Lazers are indeed sharp getting a little harder to find in 460

I got lucky when I found this one for sure.  About ten years ago a friend of mine told me about a guy who was selling a LazerMark in .378 Weatherby Magnum that had a Leupold VariX-2 3x9 on it for $700 with two boxes of bullets but by the time I tracked him down two days later he already sold it.  It still breaks my heart to this day that I missed that deal.

What loads are you using in your's?  I have one in a Custom Lazermark but haven't loaded for it yet.

So far I have settled on 2 loads, one with the 500gr TSX at a chronographed 2400 fps, and one with the 500 gr Hornady RNSP at a chronographed 2500 fps. I know the TSX load is only a mid range load, but it shoots to the exact same poi @ 100 yards as the two factory RNSP and FMJ loads. The Hornady RNSP load is the same, duplicates the factory load. The factory 450gr TSX load shoots 1 inch higher but close enough that I won't have to worry about adjusting the scope or the sites. I wouldn't mind trying the 500 gr Trophy Bear Claws and Sedgehammers from Federal, if I can find some in my area. I see no use in loading bullets under 450gr's in the 460, that's what the 375's and 416's are for.

1) 102 gr CF8506 (non canister grade burning speed between 4064 and 4320)
    500 gr Barnes TSX
    Fed 215
    3.750" OAL
    2401 fps average
    0.65" average groups

2) 105 gr CF8506
    500 gr Hornady RNSP
    Fed 215
    3.740" OAL
    2505 fps average
    0.60 average groups

I haven't seen or heard of CF8506 powder that I can remember, who makes it?

It was made by IMR, and I don't know if they still make it or not. It's a short gained 4064 type non canister powder made for commercial use. It has a burning rate in between 4064 and 4320. I have about 25 pounds of it, I picked up for $10 a pound some years back. It works in a lot of calibers from 223 to 460, and is very accurate in all. Powders from 4895's to 4350's seem to work well in the 460.

Thanks for the info.  I've never seen non-canister commercial powder in my neck of the woods.
