Perhaps you could email the custom shop and they could tell you. Although I am sure there would be someone on here that will know the answer.
Cheers.

I think both of those are long action. I haven't found any yet. Howa has them for the 1500's up to .308 and they're poly. Pacific Tool and Gauge makes bottom metal for the Vanguard and Howa up to .308 but they use an AICS mag. None of the mags fit my S2 even after modification so I sent it back.

Have e-mailed weatherby but have not gotten any info. High Desert, the action size is the same for the 270 and the 340. There is a sheet metal block in the magazine box for the shorter 270 cartridge. Additionally, the bolt slot is cut shorter in length for the shorter bolt throw of the 270. Since it is available for the Mark V Dangerous Game and Safari models makes me think it's out there in Weatherby land somewhere. I can't believe the Safari and DGR would have plastic parts, but who am I! GJ

If they only offer it in poly then don't bother with it. I don't feel they hold the action well and accuracy suffers. I also broke one trying to torque it to 55 inch lbs with a pillar posted and bedded stock. I would love to see something on the order of the rotary mag that Browning offers on their X Bolts. Mine is flawless and feeds every round right up dead center of the bolt.
