In California I will be hunting hogs. I go to Oregon for Yak and Corriente cattle, possibly goat and ram there as well. They also have bison, but I have not saved money for that yet. I developed a medical condition this past year and can not process store bought meat because of the type of fat, not even free range-grass fed. I can however have poultry and fish and any free range game species.

Sweet rifle. This is a week of First Mark Vs. I like the Fibermarks a lot. What’s the weight of it as shown in the picture?
Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.

The way it sits with no ammo is 9 1/2 pounds.

Good luck with your new rifle, I'm sure you're going to love it.  If I might make a suggestion give the 130 grain Spire Points a try, they shoot extremely well out of my Dad's Euromark and do an amazing job on deer.
Nothing is better than a Weatherby, big bore magnum, or a Colt.

They might be fun to practice and great for hunting, but as of January 1 this year the entire state is lead free for any type of hunting. I have loaded up some 130 grain Nosler e-tips and some 140 grain Barnes TSX. I have an abundance of other lead bullets for just paper punching. I will probably get some factory spire points at some point just to see how they work. Of all the factory ammo offerings the spire point in any of the Weatherby calibers seems to get the nod for accuracy and performance on game of the proper category, and the price here is only about a dollar more than the brass. We also can not buy ammo on the internet. Starting in July we will have to get a background check for any ammo so I am expecting that there will be a lot of NEW reloaders and a scarcity of components.

You have my deepest sympathies and I feel bad for you having to deal with all that crap since you live in Comafornia.  I didn't realize you lived there.  That's crazy you can't have lead bullets to hunt with but you can use them on the range.  I wonder how they plan on checking to see that your bullets don't contain lead.  I can't imagine how you manage to still live there.
