Please don't crucify me....!
« on: February 04, 2019, 03:57:41 PM »
Please don't kick me out of the Nation or think I am changing my allegiance to another brand.... But after everyone was talking on the other thread about Tikka rifles I thought I'd show you guys my latest acquisition. It is a Sako 85 Finnlight in .270 win. As soon as I grabbed it of the shelf of my local gun shop and shouldered it, I knew I just had to have it! Boy is it ever so comfortable to hold. I am yet to get time to go and shoot it. But it sure is one lightweight rig even with the Swarovski 2-12x40 on top in Sako Optilock extra low rings and bases. It fits me just as comfortable as any of my Weatherbys do.

That looks nice. I had a couple Sako AV lightweight hunter rifles, one 270 win and a 338 win. Good rifles, liked the stocks a lot.
You don't have to worry about me saying anything about your choice. I just purchased a Nosler rifle in 28 Nosler. I like it. I am still Weatherby first but l have other rifles 😎

I donít think there is anything wrong with discussing the attributes of other rifles here. Weatherby can use the research information on competitor products.

Sako rifles are very nice...

Thatís awesome. And likewise, you wonít hear any bad words from me. I was considering one just like it in 300WSM before I ran across my custom shop Vanguard on Gunbroker and decided it was too cool to pass up.

Very Nice BB im only surprized you would buy anything that wasnt High Gloss Finished and deep rich blued steel. I have come to like matte finished or ss with A sythentic stock. I have freinds that love there Tikas. Im sure it will shoot as good as it looks.

I think it's great when we are buying new and new to us rifles of any brand. It wouldn't be any fun if all rifles were the same. Variety is the spice of life

I have a few Sakos and would put them on the same level as Weatherby so you'll get no grief from me on your rifle.  I prefer pretty wood stocks and deep dark bluing but you're rifle looks really nice.
Nothing is better than a Weatherby, big bore magnum, or a Colt.

I like ;D ;D

I have a Winchester 70, 270 win that has pretty wood but I would trade in a minute for a rifle like that.

sweet rifle Brett,  8)  you will never hear any slack from me for getting a Sako. Like I said in the other post, Weatherby's, Tikka's and Sako's are the only rifles I buy or shoot.  :)

Nice, no complaints from me. Sako is in the same class as Weatherby as far as quality in my book, hopefully it shoots as well as it looks.  ;D
