I’ll keep the hammer and nails a very long ways away and won’t be POed at anyone getting a rifle that isn’t a Weatherby. 1. All accurate and reliable rifles are interesting. 2. There are lots of them, besides Weatherby’s. 3. Share the knowledge.

Remington, Winchester, Savage, Ruger, FN, and Springfield Armory rifles are found around me, along with Weatherby’s.

That's a nice rifle. I've been thinking about buying a Sako Bavarian for a while now. You won't get any flack from me.  Enjoy your new rifle.

I congrat you BB. Sako is a very good rifle. In Argentina SAKO rifles are very appreciated. Guns very sure,  nice, finished, soft bolt and a very good precision. Well done BB.

No slack here. Have a Bavarian in 06 in my safe. Sako are accurate, but  i like Weatherby more. To me as stated they are in the same class as a Weatherby.

I like Sako rifles and own an L 61 in .223 but their recent OptiLock rings just suck.

The most beautiful are my 3 Mark V Deluxes .257/6.5-300/300. The highest quality rifle I own is my pre-strategic arms, McMillan G30 (short action) Dynasty 270 WSM. The coolest rifle, I think, will be the Barrett M82A1-3 that I'm picking up Friday or Saturday. Until then, the cool award goes to my 2018 Marlin 1895SBL 45-70Govt. My most prized rifle is my 1963 Win Model 94 30-30. I prize it because it is/was a Safe Queen and is the same rifle model/year that I shot my first Muley with while hunting with my Dad in the same state that I currently live in.
Mark V Deluxe .257,6.5-300,300

Most beautiful and quality would have to be my Mark V 5-panel Japan Lazermark in 300 Wby and a Browning BAR in 338 Win Mag. At least so far. I am not through yet. ;D

Very Nice BB im only surprized you would buy anything that wasnt High Gloss Finished and deep rich blued steel. I have come to like matte finished or ss with A sythentic stock. I have freinds that love there Tikas. Im sure it will shoot as good as it looks.

Haha well it is true that I love my high gloss rich blued hunting rifles, but the fact is I probably use more SS rifles for my everyday hunting. But when I am going on a specific trophy hunt then I will just about always grab one of my nice looking Weatherbys.

I like it.Do you have any idea about what it weighs?Looks like a great all weather rifle.

The bare rifle weighs in at only 2.9 kilograms. Don't know what it weighs with scope. I will have to buy a set of scales as I would love to compare it to my .240 Mark V Ultra lightweight that wears the exact same scope.
And yes one of the reasons I bought it was for wet weather hunting. I love hunting pigs in the rain so that is what it will get used for. I don't even think I will reload for it. I just ordered 100 rounds of Hornady Superformance with 130grn GMX.
