For you Colt enthusiast, this 357 King Cobra would be a great hunting sidearm and a great plinker at the range. Granted, its a little expensive as plinker's go. (different version)

I doubt it will shoot better than either of my two Pythons.

You won't get an argument from me about that, but you can't touch a Colt Python in good to new condition at a reasonable price these days. :)

With the prices going for modified 1911's, I'm sure Colt could have kept the Python as a custom shop order.  It wouldn't have been cheap, but quality never is.  I also might have had the unintended consequence of keeping used prices a little more reasonable.
