Welcome to the Nation, and congratulations on a great looking 300 Weatherby Lazerguard. Will you be able to zero it and use it this deer season, or you thinking possibly a future hunt?

Yes, you do have a good piece of wood there and you definitely stole it.

I wont use it this year but will have it for next season. need to find a load for deer so I don't tear them up to bad. where I want to use it is a nice clear-cut and over looks a corn/been field. depends on what was planted.. also trying to get drawn for elk in penn. it takes time.

I suggest giving 180 gr. Barnes a try, that bullet should work great for deer and elk. If your rifle likes it, if not try partitions.
