.416 Weatherby load data?

.416 Weatherby load data?
« on: February 13, 2020, 07:47:01 PM »
I'm looking for load data using Barnes 300 gr TSX and 350 TTSX bullets.  Any recipes for 300 gr or 350 gr of any manufacturer would be helpful as well,  I can work up or down as needs be.

I have only loaded 400 gr bullets in mine, but norma show's a load for the 350 gr swift frame using MRP, you can start 5% below max and work up slowly. You use could that data with RL22 also, just start low, and work up. RL22 worked well with the 400 grs bullets for me.  Barnes has 350 gr TSX data on their website you can start with. Hodgdon has both 300 and 350 gr Barnes XFB you can start with also.

Thanks, I've looked at Hodgdon and Barnes data and will use them.  I have just received some of the Barnes 300 TSX and some more 350 TTSX, not having any 300 up till now, I have only used the 350s.  My powders for the 350 TTSX have been 7828 SSC and RL22, both give me decent accuracy and shoot to the same point of aim.  I'd like to try both with the 300s and do more testing with different powders.   I have on hand:  H4831SC, H414, some 760 in the old 8# cardboard canister, RL 19, RL17, and H 4350.  I'll have to order more bullets to be sure.  I also have some of Hodgdon's Superperformance here but zero experience with it as yet and unsure if it is appropriate.  I keep a variety of other powders to use in other calibers,  slow to medium burn rate but won't list them as I am most interested in those above for now.   Tall order I know,  but I'm hoping someone on this group has some recipes of their own they can share.
