Spotting Scope Vs Binoculars

Spotting Scope Vs Binoculars
« on: June 10, 2020, 06:09:36 AM »
I was up scouting this weekend and it has become very clear I need something new. I have just a normal pair of 10x42 binoculars. Will I be better of getting a spotting scoop or bigger bino's? I want to use the bino's off a tir pod. I don't really want to spend 2K on a spotter because I don't know if I will use it after this year. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I use a Leupold sporting scope I spent $400 on, and it came with a free set of Binos that work just fine. The secret seems to be looking for something out of place and a lot smaller then you expect. The more you scout the better you will be at it. My buddy's expensive Steiner binos are clearer but way to expensive for me.

I’ve been using swaro SLC15x56 on a tripod for 10 years.  Buy once cry once......they hold their resale very well.

What are the conditions you are hunting in? Terrain, location, etc
