Anyone know what bullet or load Roy used to take his rhino? I’m sure it wasn’t one of the new “premium” bullets that cost $1+ every time you squeeze a shot off.
Life is to short to hunt with an ugly rifle.

I've not read The Man, The Gun, The Legend, so I don't know if that info is in the book? However, I would think it was either a hand load with a Nosler bullet if it was available at the time, or again maybe if it was available actual commercial Nosler ammunition. I believe most bullets back then were cup and core. Just a guess.

I have the book and cant find the info. He does shoot a rhino in the book with the 300 wby and 180gr bullet, but that's all i could find. Love reading this book over and over.
