I'm not sure how this Privileged Resolution would ever get out to the public as the news papers and nation wide media won't carry it. With the name changes of military bases, public schools, universities, NFL teams etc. its seems only appropriate that the Democratic party should also change their name because of their racist affiliation throughout history. If the democrats had to change the name of their party, it would still be the same people with the same historical background only with a new name. So if the resolution reaches the public, we may see just how sensitive the BLM movement really is or isn't. Will they allow a double standard or will they consider democrats the enemy because of their long standing past?

Encyclopædia Britannica

https://www.britannica.com/topic/Democratic-Party

In part:

"The Democratic Party has changed significantly during its more than two centuries of existence. During the 19th century the party supported or tolerated slavery, and it opposed civil rights reforms after the American Civil War in order to retain the support of Southern voters. By the mid-20th century it had undergone a dramatic ideological realignment and reinvented itself as a party supporting organized labour, the civil rights of minorities, and progressive reform."

"The Democratic Party is the oldest political party in the United States and among the oldest political parties in the world. It traces its roots to 1792, when followers of Thomas Jefferson adopted the name Republican to emphasize their anti-monarchical views."

Politics in our country has been, ahh, interesting.

Isn't 1792 when Nancy Pelosi was born?

Maybe they ought to call it the new knights of the golden circle party.  look up knights of the golden circle during the mid 1800's  and you will get my meaning.

Politics in our country has been, ahh, interesting.

You can reinvent yourself, but you can't get away from what you are and stand for. During that same period of realignment (the mid-20th century) former Ku Klux Klansman Robert Byrd was voted into and accepted by all democrats as a democratic Senator. No one approached him and called him out as a racist, on the contrary, he was never censured and never publicly outed to black Americans as a Ku Klux Klan Member. The democratic party has always hidden or denied facts that define their party. The hypocrisy is enormous and the double standard that was blatantly abused between 2008 and 2016 by democratic Pres. Obama and his administration was shameful and in many cases illegal. We can go into the Obama years later, but for now lets just focus on Senator Klansman Robert Byrd who during the mid-20th century helped to "reinvent" the democratic party.

Anti-Civil Rights Record

Byrd's early votes in Congress reflected his roots in Southern anti-black, anti-Catholic and anti-Semitic teachings. Byrd initially denounced civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. as a "self-seeking rabble rouser," and he worked in opposition to the 1964 Civil Rights Act, a landmark law that removed many barriers for black Americans. He also voted against the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which protected the voting rights of American minorities, making a 15-hour filibuster speech in an attempt to keep the legislation from passing. He later apologized for both these votes. (under pressure)

After beating out incumbent senator Ted Kennedy for the position of Senate majority whip in 1971, the second-highest ranking Democrat in the Senate, Byrd's name was mentioned as a possible Supreme Court candidate. His lack of law experience and his ties to the KKK, however, prevented his nomination.
All of this is history, and so is all of the Pork Belly spending the democrats have done for the last 60 years. They throw money at problems, and the people that catch it, misappropriate it and nothing changes. So all the "dramatic ideological realignment and reinvention" that the Encyclopedia  Britannica says the democratic party has gone through since the mid-20th century is Just Words.

Byrd, a Democrat, eventually became his party leader in the Senate. Byrd later said joining the Klan was his "greatest mistake,"[2] and after his death, the NAACP released a statement praising Byrd, acknowledging his former affiliation with the Klan and saying that he "became a champion for civil rights and liberties" and "came to consistently support the NAACP civil rights agenda".

Then we can talk about the change in George Wallace.....

Peace

Only the Deity and those two men will ever know for sure what they truly renounced. However, I knew about Byrds "" conversion, but didn’t mention it because it wasn’t important to the conversation. The point is the liberal democrats behind the BLM Cancel Culture are   "using history”   to tear down the country and its history, and Byrds and the democrats history can't be denied or explained away. Thats why I say,  if the resolution reaches the public, we may see just how sensitive the BLM movement really is or isn't. Will they allow a double standard (and be in bed with the democrats) or will they consider democrats the enemy because of their long standing political party’s History?

Nancy Pelosi and the democratic party are calling Federal agents storm troopers and siding with the anarchist who are now two months into the rioting. None of Pelosi's democrats have spoken out about the looting, burning of private property, or the violence, injuries, and murders that the rioters are instigating. The party of change doesn't seem to be on the side of law and order. Everyone understands right and wrong and there’s no way any common sense person can believe that the rioting can be defended. You can’t say the Rioting is peaceful and you can’t say it’s in the name of justice.
The democrats can argue all they want that Trump is wrong, and is abusing his power. But the democrats are just like the Marxist BLM group and  “don't want to come to the table to make things right,”  they just want to continue causing chaos. BLM doesn’t have any interest in changing the laws in our government to make things better, and the democrats only interest is in toppling President Trump and our form of government.
