I wasn't that enthused with the new cowpoke model, but I like this one; it looks sharp and visually, also very practical. I still love wood though and Weatherbys always have great wood.
Come and take it.

I am mulling over building a 6.5 RPM or buying a 6.5 PRC. This doesnít make it any easier. I. am not concerned about either rifle being ultra light. I only want consistent accuracy!

I own both and so far both have been real easy to load for, Iím using the 6.5 RPM for this season, you canít go wrong with either cartridge
The RPM is basically a new and improved 264 win mag on a standard bolt face,
Definitely more brass options for the 6.5 PRC,
Iím liking the the RPM so much I messaged Adam yesterday and asked when we could expect the 7mm RPM !

I think the 7mm RPM would be a great addition to an already stellar line up of .284 caliber cartridges. Everything about a high speed, high BC .264 caliber bullet applies to the .284s, except it can be a heavier bullet.

I own both, they are very similar in performance and both are easy to load for.Ammo and brass are cheaper and more options for the 6.5prc. In general you can get a lighter rifle in 6.5 rpm.weatherby has supported the 6.5 rpm very well,I have had no problem finding ammo or brass. You canít go wrong with either one.A couple of weeks ago on a Weatherby podcast,Adam and his son had been on a spring bear hunt with a new cartridge. I hope itís a 7 rpm that they announce next. I would guess they will neck that case up and down.
