I am thinking of getting one of the 2 but don’t know much about either.   Give me the pros and cons or if they’re even worth getting...

If you're looking for a run of the mill 6.5 go with the RPM. If you want the leader of the pack, the 6.5-300 is the answer.
I love the smell of deer guts in the morning, it smells like...VICTORY!

Just depends on what you want to do with the rifle.  If you want something that will reach way out there, but the rifle might be a bit heavier...6.5-300.

If you're looking for a good cartridge for hiking in the mountains, chasing mountain game, and the rifle is relatively lightweight...the 6.5 RPM.

I just want a kick ass caliber with knockdown power.  I have big guns and little guns.  I just want a new cool Weatherby in a cool caliber.

I would get the 6.5 RPM, it’s an outstanding cartridge, I can’t wait until they make the 280 RPM !

+1 the more results I hear from people about this caliber, the more I'm impressed about it.  WF65's load results with the 156 gr bullets was very impressive. Less then 100 fps slower than Godcountry's 6.5-300, 160gr load, using apprx 15 gr's less powder and 2 inches less barrel, very nice.

It would be nice to see them come up with a 7mm RPM, if they do, I f**king hope they don't name it 280 RPM

I really did like the 6.5-300 with the 127's though, I had last summer.

I have a Back Country T-I in the 6.5 RPM.  Sub 5 pounder.  Had it to the range twice, and so far I really like it.  Would
never thought though to call it " run of the mill "  LOL.  Only issue is the recoil pad is crushing and Weatherbys answer is
to store the gun barrel down in my safe.
