6.5-300 ... so long 127gr. LRX load?

So, I happened to be out on the Weatherby Facebook page yesterday, and they teased that a new factory loading for the 6.5-300 is coming.  The tease was a free box of 6.5-300 ammo to the person who guesses what the new load is.

I'm wondering if they're going to finally be looking at a Nosler-topped 6.5-300 load.  A 125 gr. Partition would be dandy, but so would a 129 gr. Accubond LR.  I'm basing this "prediction" on a low-end grain weight bullet for the new load because I've noticed one cannot find factory ammo in the 127 gr. Barnes LRX ... like, ANYWHERE ... including on Shop Weatherby.com -- i.e., Adam & Co. figured they don't need multiple under-130 gr. factory loads.

Am I just slow ... or tardy?  Did I miss some sort of announcement that Weatherby is pulling the plug on the 127 gr. LRX?

Interesting theories at both ends of the spectrum from both you gents!  And I can see advantages to both from the standpoint of rounding out the mix of factory loads.  Gonna be interesting to see who's right!

     Looking at both ends of the spectrum, the two loads, 100 grain TTSX and the 143 gr. ELD-X in the one caliber rifle, would be what the 257 Wby and the 300 Wby are in two separate rifles. The 6.5 may be a little light on the heavy end on the spectrum, but would would be a serious contender just the same. One thing more, the 257Wby and the 300 Wby would never lose their place in a true hunters line up.

here is the reasoning on why I guessed the 143gr ELD-X
1) Weatherby has been using Hornady bullets for many years in their ammo
2) Weatherby has recently offered the ELD-X bullets in their 257, 300, and 30-378 ammo
3) 6.5-300 weatherby is the only caliber that they offer berger and swift bullets, all the other calibers have either norma(spitzer) Hornady, Nosler, or Barnes Bullets. So from a company point of view, it don't make sense sourcing bullets from berger and swift just for one caliber, when there is just as good of bullets available, from the bullets makers you get the bullets from, for all your other calibers. I could easily see them replacing the 140 gr berger load with the 143 gr ELD-X, and the 140 gr A-frame load with the 140 gr Accubond, and dumping the 130 gr load.

Then again, the 100gr TTSX would be a laser 

I guess we will have to wait and see.

You make some excellent points, Rob!  I can see where the 143 ELD-X would be a solid elk or moose thumper.  And your point about bullet sourcing is insightful, as well.  Like you, I can't wait to see what Adam & Co. are bringing to us 6.5-300 toters!

If l was reloading for the 6.5-300 l would look at the 125,140 partitions. Not the highest BC but does it matter in that cartridge.
Have used both in a 264 win mag with good results
