A few hundred years ago, there was a idea floated about a "nation" antelope hunt in Wyoming.  I bought a non resident preference point. Today, I bought my 5th non resident point. I get ads from outfitters there. Bet I can pick the best area now!  ;D

If I remember correctly, the Danimal was going to take part in that proposed hunt. Dan Weatherby!  :)

That was back when,  I don't know what happened it just kind of fell thru the cracks I guess,  any way Roger his buddy Mark met me, my wife and my son up in Wyoming ,  had a wonderful time, great weather and lots of Antelope Roger, my son and I  used our Wby Nation members 257's,  my wife used her 243 and Mark I think brought up a 25-06.

With the rifles I have now, I would take my Savage 6.5 CR. 270WBY would be my second choice.  Maybe next year!  ;D Wyoming sends me a email saying my points are about to expire. I think it's every 3 years. Since I just bought my 5th, our idea must be 12 years ago? That would mean I'm old. LOL!

After checking. it's every 2 years that the points expire. Guess that means it was 8 years ago we talked about this hunt.

Did you have an area picked out?

No, I'm just trying to avoid losing my points at this time. $31.78 every 2 years seems like an OK idea, so far.  :) I noticed that a .22 centerfire is legal for pronghorn. If that is the only thing on the menu, I would consider my AR-15. Any bigger game requires a rifle of 24 caliber or larger.

I think the 22 centerfire must use a 60 grain bullet.
I hope you get to come to Wyoming on a pronghorn hunt. Pronghorn are very fun to hunt. Some areas you can purchase reduced price doe/fawn tags. These areas are usually hard to get access to though.

My 1 in 7 AR -15 (actual Armalite Rifle) is good with the 62gr TSX and the 60gr. partition.  :)

That would work great for Pronghorn.
