Current Mark V DGR

Does anyone own the current fiberglass Dangerous Game Rifle? Thinking about buying another 375 rifle. Have a model 70. Do you love the DGR? Should i hold out for an older wood stocked model?

I currently have a Mark V DGR in a 460 and a 375 Wby, the 375 wby one is though the custom shop, it don't have the open sights. I also did have DGR's in 378 and 416 Wby. What do you want to know about them?  As for wood stock, you asking the wrong person,  I have no use for them, ever, and would never recommend getting a wood stock, except if you needed firewood.

Looks like wood stocks are a thing of the past or for us dinosaurs over 50. Nothing like the beauty of a fine wood stock. IMO. There are a few on gun broker, but expect to pay for them. I don't see a ton of rounds through them. Find the ammo before bidding.

Wow Rob, how do you really feel? I appreciate the input. im a dinosaur over 50 too Grouchy but a nice rifle is nice, wood or synthetic. Thanks Rob. i may order the 375 soon.

Well you asked who had a DGR, and if you like them. They are a very good and accurate rifles, my 460 is easily shoots 3/4 moa with all 3 factory loads, and under 1 moa, with any reload I tried in it.  BTW, there is no wood stock available in a DGR, so you will waiting a while for a wood stock DGR. If you order one, I would recommend the 375 Wby or the 375 H&H.  The old 375 H&H is a very good classic caliber, I have used one many times, but you get that extra power in the 375 Wby, and can still use 375 H&H ammo in it, if you have to.

Of you want a wood stock you have to go for the Safari model from the custom shop. Price is +$7000.00, French walnut with fleur de lis checkering, barrel band front swivel, express style rear sight, hooded front sight, and hand honed action. JM

I'm not over 50 and love my wood stocks lol.

I have the DGR in .375 H&H and love it. Mine is very accurate with handloaded 300 grain Woodliegh PPSN pills.
