Gents, I got burned by a scammer, who was selling a Win Mod 70 in 30-06.  This mother f*cker had been posting in the African Forum and had been a member for over 2 years.  Two individuals from this forum sent this f*cker money using Zelle (my mistake) to purchase a rifle from him; one was new and one was used.  I was buying the used rifle.  I'm sharing this with you guys to be on the look out, who knows if he is wondering around here as well.

You aren't the only one from what I read.  It's the reason I use a credit card  even with extra fees on gun broker.  It covers both the seller and the buyer.  That scumbag will be back using another name. They could probably find him by his email address I D.

Can’t use a credit card when it’s a person to person without a store.  He is using. VPN, and we can’t track his e-Mail.

That sucks mate. I got burned by a bloke "selling" .250 Savage brass. Then there is a guy that answers my ad which I have posted on a used gun site looking for Weatherby rifles and he pops up every few moths with a new email address saying he has what I am after and he only wants like $500-$600 for what should be $2000-$4000 rifles.
These mongrels make my blood boil. They can't get an honest wage so have to be deceitful.

Sorry to hear this, Oscar. One of the reasons I will never buy firearms (or anything) from unknowns online. It's from a dealer or friend, or not at all. I hope you get law enforcement involved. They have ways of finding these scumbags.
