My 300 weatherby is getting close to being completed from my gunsmith, put a new krieger stainless barrel on it. Needing load data for 200 grain partition and 180 grain scirocco. Got any pet loads ?

With a new  barrel, (basically a new gun). I would not limit myself to a few bullets. Break it in gently and let the gun decide what bullet and weight it likes best. Mine prefers the 180gr. TSX backed by H4831.  :)

Any of them except US869 would be a good place to start, it's up to the rifle on what it likes.

Pet loads——-Remington nickle-plated cases or Weatherby factory cases, Winchester large rifle primers, 84.3 grains of RL-26 with bullets seated as long as possible to still feed from a full magazine. This has been with the 178 grain Hornady ELD-X.

Same cases and primer, 80 grains of RL-19, flat base Hornady Interlocks made a 1.25”, 3-shot group at 300 yards from the prone position.

I’ve never used the 180 grain Sciroccos. I’ve used plenty of other Swift bullets and anything hit with one has fallen. Bill Hober told me when you find the right burning speed for a Scirocco you won’t get a more accurate hunting bullet.

The only Pet that means alot to me is my own. So someone else pet load is thier pet load. Whatever you load in your rifle is what you need to do. Fine tune your rifle load. Guessing with other peoples loads is like guessing with your own, and you might accomplish a good load. I learned to approach a load with strategically hand selecting components. Is that it? Not quite. What about you rifle? How about your shooting? And the list goes on and on. Think of it like this, the outcome is like a conducted orchestra verses a kid grunge band.. ones beautifully arranged and one is thrown together.
