With the brake there will be very little recoil, but it will be load and the concussion you feel shooting a brake. It would be a nice rifle. I like the 28 calibers

I tried telling her the same thing, and she knows it also. She has shot various 257, 270, and 7mm mags a fair bit, she just prefers a 243 or 240 for her hunting. She didn't mind to 257 Wby, just didn't care for the heavy rifles. She kind of wants to try something in a 6.5, but has to be in a lightweight rifle, that fits her well.

I am impressed with the new TI, in 6.5 RPM. If l was younger and had more years to go backpack hunting in me, l would have one of them.

True statement - i have so many "mountain" type rifles hard to say lets get another one! But they are growing on me too - just into the more collectables these days.

I agree, the TI's are very impressive rifles, if they had one in stock,in 6.5 RPM it would have came home with us

I have the steel Backcountry in 6.5 rpm,itís roughly half a pound heavier than the TI. But it is still a light well balanced rifle. I used it to take 3 deer last year and was very happy with it. I have been able to find dies, factory ammo and brass for it.

I adore light weight rifles. I was all set to order a Back country TI in 6.5 RPM. It was going to cost $7000-$8000 AUS. It was a 6 month weight but they could not tell me when/if ammo and dies would be available. So it's on the back burner for now.
Aussie gun nut.

I debated a while back on a 257 backcountry standard model in LH 257, came across a euromark LH - sighted that sucker in this weekend. Shoots factor scirocco's like a dream! Bring on the sheeps! :)

I do like that brown/tan coat though - would be a fun rifle!
