Now that I am breaking in my new .240 and I'm getting some brass for reloading I thought I'd ask if anyone has any favorite loads for their .240 that they might like to share

BTW, I just ordered 500 new .223 primed Hornady/Frontier brass from Rocky Mountain Reloading today for $190.00. Pretty fair price in today's market.

I love the performance of the 85gr Barnes TSX out of the factory loading on Whitetails. If I was reloading for mine it would be a Barnes TSX or TTSX that I'd be shooting.

I currently have two 240's, and since I don't like to f**k around having seperate loads for them, I work up loads that will work in both. Personally, I would like to find a load for them using the 80 gr ttsx, but after going though 150 bullets so far and various powder, I haven't got there yet. My favorite load for the 240 is H450, and the 105 gr speer hotcore, I have yet to see a 240 that won't shoot that load well under 1 moa. But both are discontinued now. Currently, using 95 gr ballistic tips and rl19, until my supply is used up, by then I should have something found in the 80 gr ttsx.

I am running the 90 grain Swift Sirocco II on top of 55 grains AR2213sc (H4831). They are scooting along at 3537 fps.

Is everyone using Large Rifle primers or magnums?

depends on the powder, with the ball powders I use mag primers, but use standard primers with everything else.

New guy here, first post.
I'm running an 85gr Sierra BTHP over IMR4831 for just under 3500fps.  Great whitetail load for hunting fields and power lines.  Not sure I'd trust that bullet at that speed for close shots, though.

My latest load of 87 gr Berger over a moderate load of Magnum resulted in t6he center group.  Lower right and left are factory 100 gr Nosler partitions.  The partitions tightened up considerably after re-torqueing the action screws.

I just tried to crop the picture and we'll see if that works.  SUCCESS!!!

Nice day for the middle of Nov. High in the middle 50's and no wind so I headed to the range with my .240 and my 6.5 X .280 AI. Been wanting to try the 143 Hornady ELDX.  I think my load development is finished with that rifle. My big surprise was with IMR 4831, two into one hole. I took pictures with my Nikon  Coolpix at the lowest resolution and we'll see if they post. Top L 53.0 IMR 87 gr Berger, top R 53.7 IMR 7828 SSC, bottom L 55.0 H 4831 SC and bottom R 57.2 H 1000. Ignore the center,
