They eat fine if the food source is good like anything else wild. They eat lots of corn and protein on our farm sorry suckers! :) Smaller is better, but after awhile you just shoot to kill and create a bone pile, I prefer beef lol!

Medium sized game burgers kill hard (generally), closer the range the more damage they seem to do. I stopped using them because it never fails we end up shooting most our deer under 100 yards at our farm. Need something to take those velocities and hold up.

Pretty smoking velocities with that big sucker - congrats;

At those short distances Aggie you would be better off with an Oryx. Although not very good BC they are constructed well.

Havenít had time to mess with them at distance yet but I was playing with the app and kestrel and they hold basically the same  as my 245 Bergerís @2940 @ 1000 with a 10mph wind. At least the #ís say they will. Recoil is similar to 7rm.
