Here are several reasons why I always carry my Mod 57 when hunting or just enjoying the Wyoming outdoors.

Impressive statistics! I tend to carry my Model 29 or the 57. Practicing a quick draw while empty is a good idea. Putting 5 rounds of 41 mag into a 200lb. charging boar at 3' was almost automatic :)

Agree,  practice practice practice.  we have talked about this before,  and that goes for hunting also. How many times we as a whole have not been prepared for a game animal that just pops in front of you or comes in from behind ,or your gun isn't ready or accessible in time.   I  fumbled because I wasn't ready on a very large muley that held tight and something spooked him and he ran from behind and past me on a full run.
