Gone but not forgotten, my old '69 'Cuda Fastback with a 440. Ran 11.21 @ 124 mph back in the day, pretty quick for a street car.
I love the smell of deer guts in the morning, it smells like...VICTORY!

I took my driver's license test in a 1970 Chevy pickup with a 4 speed trans.

A red and black Ford Mustang Mach 1, 1970 or 1971 model, took on mythical status where I live in the Spring of 1980. The high school kid who was restoring it was killed when his air compressor blew up. The car was finished later that year by his younger brother, who passed away in 2007. The car is now with their cousin, somewhere in the vicinity of Liberal, Kansas.
For anyone 55 years old and up, they know what The Mach is when cars are mentioned.
Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.

Got my license in 1965 because I went to work half a day and school the other half during my senior year. The car was a 1962 Chevy two door Biscayne with a 230cu in line six and 3 on the column.
I learned to speed shift the tranie and found a set of Webber 3 duces for it in a junk yard. It was a real sleeper for short track or street racing.
I used to chase greyhound buses up and down old US40 going to Frostburg to pick my wife up at college. That was long before I-68 was on the drawing boards and US-40 was the only road west.
Most of that road followed the old wagon trace that led west ward and the hills/Mts were steep.

That must have been a cool ride. Back in the day, we considered anything 12 seconds or below as one fast, badass car. Low 11's was awesome. You obviously did some quality work on that motor. Guessing cam, intake manifolds, headers, carb work just for starters? I think those cars ran 14's stock.
Come and take it.

Love the old Cuda's .  Took my drivers test in a 62 Ford falcon little 144 straight 6,  guys in my area were dropping little V-8's in  Falcons and Chevy II's ,  Lightweight and quick.  My son was over the other night he found a 69 Roadrunner -  440 with drag pak, he's  thinking about buying it ,  suppose to run, dead battery gas that sort of stuff he said , body is straight,   will know more on Sunday needs work of course.
