Well lets see if the site takes these photos

Took the wife and some of our kids on a safari this weekend.

Daughter in-law shot a blackbuck with her Camilla 6.5creed - only her 5th animal ever taken and she made a great shot safari style!

My stepson shot a great axis buck in velvet, chased several for a couple days before he could connect. He shot this buck with his 30-06 (favorite caliber no matter how many weatherbys i give him - he will learn one day) :)

Wife shot this huge cow orxy 6.5prc made a great shot right through the shoulder and she took off. We didn't realize the chase was on, but it sure was. We caught up with this animal a couple times and finally was able to put her down with another shot. My original concerned when we realized she didn't just go pile up was possibly the bullet exploded on impact, (140 grain accubond) wasn't the case bullet passed through both shoulders center mass, shoulders were heavily damaged really thought that was the shot. 1.5 hours later we got her down, one tough animal. she measured 36-37 inches,

Last but actually the first animal killed was my transcaspial urial ram, shot with my LH deluxe 240 weatherby mag 90 grain scirocco's about 150 yard shot right behind the shoulder and done. Chased several groups of rams all morning finally connecting with this herd, i shot probably the 2nd largest one out of the herd but he had better mass and much better bib the other ram probably had him by an inch maybe 2, but didn't have any white on his front bib area. This was a big bucket list sheep for me i was super tickled to get him.

Great time with our friends in west texas area - Premier Hunts LLC, josh and his guys treated us great! Planning more hunts with the kids over the next year, after almost going down a year and a half ago with covid i decided lets make some memories who knows when it's over!

Enjoy -
Donnie

Looks like you had a great family outing.

In 2010, a couple of my friends and I did a West Texas hunt similar to yours.

For me it was the maiden voyage for my .300 Weatherby.
