I drew a late season private land Antelope tag, here locally. December will be some fun hunts. Upland birds will be open, an antelope tag and of coarse coyote’s. Never know what you will come home with. Just load up the dogs, calling gear for coyotes, 12 gauge and the .257.

Well this year is a quiet one for me at the moment... Am suppose to go on a Sambar deer hunt into the high country of Victoria in a few weeks time but I've had to cancel again this year due to my back giving me problems. Hopefully I may get it sorted by Sep/Oct for a late season hunt down there. So it'll just be doing my usual hunts for rabbits, foxes, goats, pigs and hopefully local fallow and or red deer on my private property I hunt.

It's going to be quiet for me, and will hunt locally only.  I'm planning on retiring next year (Mar 24), so I'm saving my Pennies for now.  Working for the Gov is wonderful, it could take from 3-6 months to see my first correct paycheck.  In the meanwhile, I will receive 50-60% of "what" my check may be, and then after the 3-6 months' time, I'll get my correct paycheck with back pay.  After that, I'm planning on returning to South Africa for another safari in the Easter Cape.   ;D

I drew my bear tag as expected.  Buy I have never hunted in the lower peninsula for bear before.  But I was warned of the dog hunters. And I thought I picked a area with few roads. And the dog hunters are not the problem.  I just have not had any luck getting a bear to come to my bait yet. But there is no cell service so the cameras are only good when I get up there to check. Last week my entire bait was wiped ot by coons. They managed to get under the logs. I will see what happens sat when I head back up. If no luck I'm thinking of donating my tag to A seriously ill person. That would be best my mind is more on salmon fishing ever since I bought a boat anyway.

I did buy another preference Pronghorn point this year in Wyoming. I have 8.  Haven't heard from the usual suspects trying to get me to book a trip, yet!
