Adam brought up an excellent point about attacting new Weatherby shooters who may not otherwise try a Weatherby rifle. I hope this is the case. I, for one, appreciate the fact that wood stocks will not be phased out and forgotten - wood and plastic both have their place and I know there are many of you out there who, like myself, love the look and feel of wood that plastic can never duplicate. A MK-V Deluxe is both a well-built tool and a work of art in your hands. For a rifle that will get taken out in the rain or get banged around, sure, plastic has it's virtues. Also, I would bet that most posters here on WN are the most dedicated, loyal Weatherby customers around anywhere.
