It is a pretty stock. It does have some dings ,still in better shape at 60 than I was!  Somebody sure took good care of this rifle. I just take it to the range. I'm afraid of messing it up hunting in the jungle here. 110gr. TSX with RL19 and 130gr. A-Frame with H1000 are both sub moa .    :)

Hey Bad, want to adopt me, and maybe put me on your inheritance for that rifle?  I'm housebroken, can reload, fairly descent cook, don't eat much, and wash dishes.  LMAO!!!!

Have you noticed how many of these posters have not posted again, including Ed? One we lost a while back, past on.  :(   Guess I do have the oldest Mark V.   Anybody else have a Classic Mark besides me?

I have a Round Nose that was the 975th rifle Weatherby made.It was built 10 years before any Mark V's were built.

I receive this Weatherby from my uncle, it an Eddystone 30-06, custom in the late 40's by Ed before he started tracking serial number of the guns he work on.

Just to update on my post from several years ago. I still have that #630 Mk V in .375 Wby. It is among the first MK Vs and was one of those that were made by sand casting in the USA before there was any manufacture in Germany. Weatherby did a fantastic job restoring it and now it holds a place of honor among my Mk Vs. I will pull it out this afternoon, photograph it and post the photo here for all to see. The scope on it is an older scope that I had laying around just to make it look period perfect. The bore is in great condition. But, I do not plan to ever shoot it. I will just preserve it. I do not know how many sand cast Mk Vs are still around. It would be interesting to know if there are any others out there.

Weatherby on an FN Mauser in 375 Weatherby Magnum 1954.
I shoot cases with a belt because I feel the other cartridges need to pull their trousers up.

I have a 257 weatherby from Southgate with a four digit serial # 11xx I don't know the year made. It is a pre Mark V It is one of the first made. Would like to know the year of Manufacture if anyone knows. Thank you all.

Should be 1952.

Should be earlier than that Wim.I have a Letter of Authenticity on one with SN 177X.The Weatherby historian places it late in 1951 to very early 1952.
