I own a custom Deluxe MKV in .257, a MKV SS with Laminated stock in .270 bee and have a MKV Lasermark in 7mm bee on its way...
But at this point in time I have done the most hunting with my .257 and so would have to choose it. Plus I am quite a fan of the .25 cal. They are a great all round calibre for use here in Australia.

I have owned a .257 and shot three whitetail with it, all quick kills, wish I still had it but gave it up for a good cause. A young lad at work started hunting and had limited funds for a rifle so it is in good hands now.

I am a big fan of the .270 caliber also and checking the ballistics of the .270 Weatherby Mag I would have to give it the nod between the three as the best all round.........IMO

I own all three calibers and love them all, but if I had to have only one it would be the 7mm WM. Why, because in my opinion it can do anything the 257 or 270 can do and has the advantage of the good heavy 7mm bullets for bigger game like moose. as I've always felt the 7mm Wea is the best of all the 7mm mags out there.

I did a lot of research before I bought my first Bee. I decided on the 270 WBY  mag Mark V deluxe, it is to this day my favorite. it has a few beauty marks on it from hunting with it for the past 30+ years but I still think it is best looking rifle in the safe and it will do anything I ask of it as long as I am up to the challenge. LOL!

I am in the middle of a 6.5-300 Weatherby project. Although it should be a fun caliber to mess around with, I wouldn't necessarily add it to this list.

I View the 6.5-300 of more of a specialized caliber and not as versatile as any of the other three calibers discussed.

I'm another who has all three. It's like trying to decide which child you love most. Can't do it.

hmmm, interesting topic,I should state that I currently own the 7mm bee,and I did own a 257 for about 10 years before I let it go,ive never owned a 270 bee but I have shot several and have nothing bad to say about it,so now I will open the can of worms, lol, obviously these three are all based on the same case which translates to the same powder capacity with a slight edge going to the 7mm because of the larger neck but not really enough to make a noticeable difference, with that said if you forget about bullet weight and compare bullets of equal sectional density they are pretty much equal in terms of performance,example,257 120 grain sd 260,270 140 grain sd 261,7mm 150 grain sd 266,all three of those are running 3300 fps with a similar trajectory of coursr the larger diameter bullet carries more energy, you can make the same comparison with the lighter weight bullets 100,110,120 and there stepping out around 3600,now I know some people are goin to comment that they can get an extra 50 fps with this cartridge or even 100 fps but for the most part if you follow saami pressure recommendations and compare bullets of equal stye, partition, flat base boat tail etc they match up, where they stop matching is with the 270 and 7mm being able to be loaded with higher sectional density bullets for larger game, its hard to beat the 270 or 7mm for all around use.
