Which RIngs do you like for a new Vanquard .223
« on: January 29, 2012, 08:44:05 AM »
I just bought my 3rd Vanquard in the .223 Carbine.
I plan to buy a VX-3, 4.5x14x40 with BDC unless someone has a better suggestion. I am still trying to decide whether to pay an extra $80 for the AO???

Would you go with standard Leupold medium matte rings/base or try a different brand?

Thanks!

The extra $80 for the AO would be worth it to me.The last 2 scopes I mounted,I used DNZ one piece base and rings. They have worked well.

Standard, I personally wouldnt trust removing a scope and mounts and it being perfect where it was without shooting it and checking it. Also I dont see any reason to remove a scope except for some sort of repair or maintenance, especially if it doesnt have irons.
