I am thinking of mounting this scope on my new 300 WBY VGS2 & i am wondering if any of you  have or use any Barska Scopes . I can't afford the high dollar scopes i just cant so i must find a scope that will preform for me that i can afford .  i already have 2 Barska's one  3x9x50mm Huntmaster on my CVA Optima & a 3x12x56mm W/ 30mm tube on my Handi-Rifle 500 S&W Magnum & they are doing just fine & both guns kick hard enough to ruin a porrly made scope. ;D

I have used Barska scopes on several of my hunting rifles with good success.  No problems with losing zero or breakage,  good, clear optics, great price.  If that's all the budget allows for, go for it!  Better to be able to shoot with a Barska than not be able to shoot at all!

Trapper:Have not used the Barska in that magnification range. But I have used Tascos and BSAs on several .22rf.You lose clarity a long time before you get close to 32x.My preferences would be to stay down in the 16-20 x range for the top end and I think you get a much clearer scope.IMO.I am not sure what all they offer though.

You get what you pay for when buying optics and their is a reason for the wide range in prices! In the end they can all fail and they all have but it just depends on what it failed on when you were using it and i hope it will not be a big old bear :o or an expensive guided hunt of a lifetime!

I'm with Roger 32x  is a little much for any rifle unless it's strictly long range target shooting.  If you can't hit it on 16 or 20 power 32 isn't going to be any advantage.   You start getting into these really high powered scopes,   things aren't as clear as you would hope until you get into the very expensive brands.    If you are happy with Barska then stick with it.

A 4-16 should work very well for most conditions Sammy.Sounds like a cool looking stock.
