Just picked up a Weatherby Southgate Mauser in 270 Wby Mag. No instructions of any kind. For those with similar rifles, do you put the safety in the firing position before removing the bolt or do you put the safety in the safe position before removing the bolt? I know that if you do it wrong the job of putting the bolt back in the action becomes a problem.
