what are your faverate loads for elk size game.also do the animales on average go more than 50 yards d
before yhey drop dead.i have heat
rd that the 7mms in magnum cases do not put the down as fase as a 30 caliber would.

The 7 mags kill elk just as dead just as fast just as far as any of the big 30
I've been hunting for big game for 4 decades
With the 7rm and the 7 weatherby mag from100 to 1100 yrds  and never lost an animal never needed a second shot,
You do your part the gun will do its part

I have killed about the same number of elk with my 7mm Weatherby as my .300 Weatherby; all with Barnes TTSX bullets. Performance has been about the same. None more than a few steps. Happy Trails
