Lee makes a great bang for the buck reloading press that loads quality ammo. On sale at Midway for a good price.https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1013021327/lee-classic-cast-50-bmg-single-stage-press-kit

Took a ride into town yesterday to have a look at the Lee. While I do like some Lee products, their presses are not my favorites. Still, the product at that price is hard to beat. I prefer the RCBS or Dillon's but I'm going to wait and see how much ammo I go through over time to see if it might be worth the investment. The big consideration will be to see if I can shoot it accurately enough to justify trying to accurize my ammo.

I could've bought a Barret when they first came out for around $2,000 and didn't so I always said can kick myself for not getting one.  A few years ago I shot one a few times at an expo and I regret not buying one a whole lot more.  It's fun to shoot and the recoil isn't bad.  I had a friend video me shooting it and it makes an 5.56 AR sound like a .22 long rifle and it's fun to watch the pressure wave push the brush back that was on the side of the bench I was shooting it off of.  If I can figure out how to I'll post a video of it but not being too computer savvy that may take a while.
Nothing is better than a Weatherby, big bore magnum, or a Colt.

I almost got the M107 because it's designed for a suppressor and it's lighter weight which is why it's called the "Light Fifty". The M82 can't be used with a suppressor. The M99 single shot bolt action is more accurate and half the price but the recoil is about 50% more than the M82. I decided to go with the M82 because I wanted it to be fun to shoot. I ordered 50 rounds of Hornady  750g A-Max since it is a lead core bullet and a little safer to shoot than ball ammo when things dry up around here.

I posted in a couple of places but forgot to update this one. I'm such a dork.. Anyway, I did get the M82A1 on Feb 7th and she's a beauty. Heavy at 35lbs scoped but that's what I expected. I put my Schmidt and Bender on it after the 35 mm extra high Vortex rings were too low for the Leupold Mark 5HD 5-25x56mm scope when it's on a long 1913 rail. It might actually work out better because the rail is a 27 moa and the mount I used is adjustable from 0 to 20 moa. I reversed it so I can take out 20 moa and zero at 200 yards/ That will leave me about 60 MOA of up on the scope and I can adjust the mount back down to zero if I decide to try for the miracle mile shot.

The Mark 5HD found a home on my Mark V TRR .308 and that scope (Vortex PST II Viper 5-25) found a home on my Vanguard .308 that is setup for bench rest shooting. It all worked out but now I have to go sight them all in again. Oh darn, I have to go shoot guns again... LOL..
