The Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated is also a battery free or should it be batteryless option.

Can you get away from using a riser if it's  mounted on a 45 degree angle?

Yes, because it will not be my primary sight.  This is how it will look.  If it was my primary sight, I believe the current mount will be to low, and will need a riser.

You probably know this, but Warne makes a mount that has the 45 degree offset integral to the mount for the scope. Some guys are great with that setup, personally I don't like the idea of twisting the rifle back and forth.
