Every 6 months, I "oil" my knife collection. 2 reasonably expensive knives I used to open taped packages needed to have clean the tape residue from them.  Over 100 year old Hoppe's #9 came through perfectly!

BTW, my 4 hand made Randall's are not any where near "stainless"  and require a wipe down with A G Russell "rust free".

Only if you take outstanding car of them! I do have a  stainless steel battle ax, after 2 divorces, I had to have a replacement.   Favorite quote about sharp things, "If, on your journey, you meet god, he will be cut"  Kill Bill Volume 1.  ;D

62 knives, including 4 Randall made knives and 2 on the way!      :)

Got my 2 more today from Knives Plus. Impressed for the first time I ordered from them!  Forgot to count my 5 bayonets in the last count. They are not designed as cutting tools. One bayonet fits my Lee Enfield 4 Mark1 , made by Savage.  :)
