Just got an e-mail from Brownells with a no Haz-Mat fee, I just ordered a couple lbs of H-4831 SC.

I've loaded up some 180 gr Nosler Partition Points with this powder starting at a minimum load and going up to a maximum load in 1 grain increments to find what my new rifle likes. Im planning to go to the range Wednesday.i got 2 lbs about a month ago and if my rifle likes this powder bullet combo will probably order some more with the no haz fee waived.

The best load with my rifle shooting H4831SC was the minimum load i started with shooting 180 gr Nosler Partition Points. Less than a MOA with 5 shots but muzzle velocity about like a 30-06 shooting the same bullet. My next batch of handloads i will use H1000. The H1000 should give me a little more velocity but that is whats fun about handloads. You are looking for accuracy with a higher velocity to match what your caliber of rifle is capable of. Of course to me accuracy is number one and the above mentioned load of 30-06 ballistics in my 300 Win Mag will make no difference to killing a future elk.
