A little bit,but it only has a minimum of what Customs could have done to them.Someone did have to wait a bit and spend ome money on what was done, but like I said it was very minimal as to what you can order done.
Thank you. much appreciated

Not an UltraMark, just a Custom. Ultramark didn't come out until 1989.

Thanks for the info. Do you think the gun has a higher value then a standard deluxe?

Good morning,
Need help identifying this rife. It was made in the early 70' Japan. Looks like an ultramark but not sure. Has a checkered bolt knob and the floorplate is marked Weatherby Custom with scroll engraving. 300 web mag caliber. Any info would be great. thanks. I tried to post a picture but they say my pictures are too large.

Note, I have never owned a 7MM Weatherby mag but I do not think a 7MM Wby will chamber and the bolt close in a 7mm Rem. I do think that a 7mm Rem may fit in and the bolt close in a 7mm Wby rifle. I have often wondered if a 7mm Rem could be fireformed in a Wby rifle to make 7 mm Wby brass. ??? I dunno!

I bought the gun at Cabelas and they had is marked as a 7mm Remington Magnum. I am going to contact Weatherby with the SN. They should be able to tell me.

Good day all. Need help identifying the caliber on my Weatherby mark v made in Japan. The barrel is marked: "7mm magnum." Do I have a 7mm Remington magnum or a 7mm Weatherby magnum. I can't believe Weatherby would mark them that way but they did. Thanks.

Did you try it out yet?  ;D
Yes. The stock is way to big. Doesn't look right. I guess I will just sell the stock. Anybody interested in a New old stock 5 panel left hand lazermark #4 contour stock?

Are you looking to purchase the 300 with a broken stock in hope that yours will fit?

If the deal was good enough that I could get a replacer stock which can be had even with a synthetic version, but wooden stocks can be found as well.
Yes. that is the idea. That my lazermark stock will fit. I am going to take the stock to a local gun shop and try it on a weatherby with a #2 contour.

A good question is what caliber are you talking about? Is it a 6 lug action?  ;D ;D ;D
It would be for a 300 weatherby mag 9 lug lazermark with a busted stock. I have a new lazermark stock 5 panel #4.

Rifles / #2 contour barrel into a #4 contour stock
« on: March 28, 2025, 01:59:04 AM »
Good morning all. My question is will a #2 contour fit into a #4 contour stock? Is it just a matter of a wider barrel channel or are there other differences? I guess I am asking could I get away with it? It is my understanding the the #4 is 1/5" wider at the tip of the forend. How out of place would it look? Thanks.

Looks like a Wyoming sporter to me. The California ones didn't have the rosewood on the stock.
Yes Weatherby confirmed that is what it is.
