Certainly agree with those that say storage is everything. Most of my powder is 7/15 yrs old but some date back to the late 80's and are still as good as ever. The one caution I would mention is to get the powder out of those old metal cans like IMR used and into proper black plastic powder bottles.

God that video is scary. The sad part is those idiots live among us unnoticed on both sides of the boarder and multiply.

In my life time I've seen many different Prime Ministers and American Presidents come and go. This useless piece of dirt takes the cake. He has done more to divide our country and people than any other person that I can think of. Good riddance to the self proclaimed feminist with the rainbow socks.  At least with his dismissal ( booted from the job by his own members) his last gun laws banning many weapons will not pass or at the very least be delayed till another government is in place hopefully the Conservatives.

Happy New Year to all you guys & gals.

About 10 yrs ago I was at the range checking the zero on my 30/378. This is a braked rifle and very manageable recoil with the brake. For some stupid reason after I went to check my target to see if I needed a scope adjustment I sat back at my bench and fired a round forgetting to put my ear muffs on. Well I thought my head was going to explode. Couldn't shoot for the rest of the day. Later removed the brake and I now hunt this way. If I can't shoot a rifle with no brake then I won't own it. JMO

All you need is a Bushnell type bore sighter with the grid. Once the grid in the bore sighter and your scopes cross hairs line up horizontal and vertical your TDC.

. Perhaps get someone else to try shooting a group and see how it goes.

Great advice from BB340. This is the first thing I would also recommend, then go from there.

I like some of the new matte scopes on certain rifles. But the old gloss black ones on a Weatherby Deluxe or a similar rifle just can't be beat. I also like the old duplex reticle with no Christmas bells attached to it. Sight most Weatherby cartridges ( or similar ones ) in at 300 yds and you are good to 500 with very little hold-over if any. Having said all this I guess the scope companies will build what sell and right now it seem the matte ones are the sellers.

U should switch to Reloader 22! Better powder! Better performance! Less recoil! Good luck!
Have you tried to find some RL-22 lately. Good luck. IMR 7828 I can find

For years I've been saying they should give it a try in the Vanguard line with a 26" barrel and faster twist.. I've always felt the the 7mm Weatherby mag is the all round best 7mm mag made. Seems the company has not much love for the round. JMO

Shot a moose last year at appx 300 yds. The way it was placed ( 45 degree north bound ) I couldn't get a decent shot at the vitals. Put the cross hair on the hump and came down appx 12" where I believe it would be according to the video. One shot and dropped like a bag of potatoes. Not much meat loss. JME ( 300 win mag /175 LRX)

I have several Leupold scopes and while I find them a very good scope I have always been a Denver Redfield guy. Always found the Redfield scopes to have great optics. JMO
