Rifles / Re: 375 H&H Magnum Euromark on Gunbroker
« on: February 16, 2021, 10:20:51 AM »
It looks to me to be a Safari Classic vs a Euromark. Look at the straight comb stock and ebony forearm tip at a 90° angle with the stock. Euro marks have the 45° forearm tip and Monte Carlo comb. Only about 120 Safari Classics were made in 1992 in 375 H&H. GJ

I've used the 160 gr partition in my 270 Roy (1/10) got 3100 fps and good accuracy with them. Might try some heavies for the grins. Strictly research as I love the 140 gr Failsafe @3300 fps. GJ

I only crimp my 375 H&H with 300 gr Nosler Partitions and 299 gr Shock Hammers. I don't on my 340 and 270 Roy. GJ

Rifles / Re: Barrel Contour

I might be wrong on these figures, so correct me. #1- 0.550in, #2-0.600in, #3-0.0650in, #4- 0.700in all measured at the muzzle. Barrel length didn't matter as I remember. FWIW. GJ

I have not found any velocity change with mine. The first port expells the gases laterally. The second near the muzzle at about a 45° angle up. Buckleman is correct, I'd say about a 25% recoil reduction and very little increase in muzzle blast. They use an electromagnetic current to cut the ports leaving a smooth surface with no burrs or bore obstructions. They do good work at reasonable rates. GJ

Rifles / Re: 270 weatherby mag rebarrell or rechamber ?
« on: January 08, 2021, 08:32:15 AM »
If you already have an investment in reloading supplies, I'd rebarrel to something like 1:7.5 or 1:8.0, #3 or#4 contour, 26 inch. It will shoot lighter bullets fine and be plenty for 165/170 bullets. GJ

I've had two 340s magnaported. It really reduces muzzle lift and helps with recoil too. GJ

It's bad enough that they left the hogs to rot, but I'm sure you're worried about one of these a**holes injuring you or a family member while they're blasting around. More pics if possible might heip. Best of luck. GJ
