Thanks for the helpful advice as always guys! I truly appreciate it!

I guess pricing is variable as well. If memory serves me correctly, the asking price is just shy of 3K. But, a new Mark V is in mid 2000's so ????  Some would say the German made "antique or collector" is the better deal and well worth the price due to the rarity??

Hey friends, what would you say is the "collectability" of a German made Mark V Deluxe in 270 or 243 WCF? Is it a gun that a small time collector should jump on? Thanks in advance for any advice! It's appreciated.

Hey guys! I have posted a couple times in the past seeking help with finding rings for my rifle. I am still trying to get ideas as to what to use. Does anyone have any idea as to what to use and where to get them. Burris starburst rings are perfect but I can’t find any. Any help is truly appreciated!! Thanks!!

Accessories / Re: Gloss Finished Scopes ??
« on: November 20, 2022, 06:49:12 PM »
There is a really good guy on eBay. He goes by lfcrock. I have purchased a few scopes from him in the past couple years. He has a great selection of scopes. He says the supply of gloss scopes are drying up. He’s a straight shooter. You can trust him. If you need a gloss scope, I ‘d get it soon because there are no more! Good luck!

Hey friends, can anyone suggest a source for engraved gloss rings in a "high". I'm trying to maintain the looks of a gorgeous Royal Ultramark and a 50 MM gloss Leupold. Thanks so much!

Optics / Beautiful Burris ring question
« on: April 30, 2021, 06:47:38 PM »
Hey guys, I’m interested in a beautiful set of gold inlaid Burris rings for a Weatherby Royal Ultramark. I think they would be the ticket. Here’s the problem... the rings are med and the Leupold gloss scope is a 50mm objective. Do y’all thing they will work or not? I have no source for those rings in a high version. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Ammo / Re: WTB Vintage 340 WBY AMMO
« on: January 26, 2021, 05:49:00 PM »
I'm actually interested mostly in the box, but would prefer the box with ammo in it, rather than just the box. It's because I've collected some early model guns, and would prefer some of these boxes of ammo for display, rather than the currently available ones. Thanks for the help everyone!

Ammo / WTB Vintage 340 WBY AMMO
« on: January 19, 2021, 06:15:42 PM »
Hey friends, I am interested in finding some 340 WBY as well as 240 WBY AMMO in the tan box with game animal and Head stamp of brass showing caliber. These were the last style of boxes before the select plus if I'm correct. I am not looking for the older Tiger boxes.  Thanks in advance for your help. I also posted in General Discussion and got some help there. I was hoping someone here may have some or ideas as to where to get it. Thanks in advance!

Rifles / Re: Newbie giving a hello and a question
« on: March 24, 2017, 01:08:42 PM »
Well guys, thanks again for all. I don't know anything about the sporter rifles but I've contacted the seller with the questions dubyam mentioned. From what I've seen and learned from you guys, I have to be REALLY patient or shell out for a brand new Mark V that is available in 270 win. The wood of the new ones just doesn't compare to the older Mark V's in my opinion.Just so you guys know the reason for my persistence, last year I bought a 300WBY Mark V Deluxe which was from the late 80's. I absolutely fell in love with this thing. It's probably the most beautiful gun I've ever held.So now I'm hoping to replace my Browning A bolt synthetic .270 win with this "unicorn"I'm looking for.So thanks again and I'll keep y'all posted.

Rifles / Re: Newbie giving a hello and a question
« on: March 23, 2017, 09:05:22 AM »
Well guys, I guess I'm just not very good at locating guns. I have searched in all places that I can think of: armslist,Cabela's Library,Gunsinternational, gunbroker. I've even clicked on images for Wby MK V and looked at all individual listings. I also had a friend do some looking for me who was more computer savvy. So far, I have not seen one Mark V chambered in 270 win other than new USA made guns.So... I'm asking for help. Someone please tell me what or how to search.I've tried the following:
1) Weatherby Mark V
2) Weatherby Mark V Deluxe
3) Weatherby Mark V in 270 win
4) Weatherby Mark V chambered in 270 win
5) Weatherby 270 win
If anyone can give me a tip, I'd sure appreciate it. Even if you guys think I'm doing everything right but just need to keep looking and be patient, that's good too. And, by the way, if ANYBODY stumbles across one, PLEASE let me know. Thanks Again to all you folks for helping. Dubyam, and Para, please chime in.
