I have a Weatherby Safari rifle with blue printed action. It is definitely silky smooth even when de cocking the rifle. Feed is ultra - smooth. Calibre .375 H&H Mag. Have used it on 5 African Safaris taking in Big 4 & many plains game. The only problem I ever had with it was on my Leopard/ Buffalo hunt. Took the buffalo on day 5. Everything went perfect up till day 7 when my PH asked me to take 2 more Impalas for Leopard baits. This resulted in 2 clean misses (I'd shot 8 animals with 8 shots leading up to this). I requested a sighting in session. The PH was saying it was just me but I finally convinced him into it. Result was the point of impact was 4" high at 100yds!! We re-sighted it to dead on at 100yds. Next day I shot my Leopard, one shot dead centre.
Upon arrival back home I removed the famous pressure spot from the stock and free floated the barrel. No more problems even with 2 more African safaris under my belt. After much consulting with experienced hunters and gunsmiths all agreed it was caused by very wet and humid weather in my home country of Australia and then going to a very dry season in Africa thus causing slight warping of the stock.
