Optics / Weatherby Mark V Fibermark Base Mount - Help selecting rings
« on: February 15, 2021, 07:25:25 PM »
This is my setup:  Fibermark Mark V 6 lug in 270 Winchester with a Leupold Backwoods  1 piece picatinny base mount, and a Leupold VX-6 3-18x44 (30mm tube). I can't find any info related to the Full length one piece Leupold Backwoods 1 piece picatinny rail and the thin barrel contour of the Fibermark that recommends ring height to mount as low as possible.  I don't have rings yet, and nobody around me has 30mm rings in stock.  I'm guessing medium rings because everything I read indicates that low rings are only good to 40mm.  Anyone have experience with these?

I have a bunch of this.  I haven't seen any classifieds.  Can we publish that we would sell ammo?

7mm Weatherby Magnum, is one any better than the other, or is stock/barrel/action quality pretty much the same, except for fluting and a little weight?

Rifles / Accumark Mark V in 7mm Remington Magnum
« on: July 11, 2010, 09:00:58 PM »
Is there a classifieds here?  I have a "Made in USA" Mark V Accumark chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum with a Leupold Vari X III 4.5-14x50 AO scope mounted on it.  Fired about 50 rounds through it over the years between range and hunting.  Extremely nice rifle.  Asking 1400.00

Waterfowl / Majestic End to a Perfect Season

I say this because any season I am able to go hunting is a perfect season.  Shot more ducks this season than last season, but it's been awfully slow for the last several years in the marsh below St. Mary Parish.  God bless ! !
