Today is the Marine Corps Birthday (245). The corps was started in Tun Tavern, a good place to start anything. If you ever get a chance to go to a Marine Corps Ball on base, you'll not forget it. Happy B-Day from a "gator navy" squid. Semper Fi! GJ

Looks like the "Bonny Dick" (USS Bonhomme Richard) is really toast. CNO says 11 of 14 decks damaged and the flight deck is buckled. The ship is 22 years old and the cost to repair probably is not worth it. Hope the crew that fought so hard to save her gets a lifetime supply of razor blades. GJ

Mme. Pelosi is going to introduce a resolution in the House of Representatives calling the killing of Soleimani a war crime perpetrated by President Trump. What kind of weird, unreal world is she living in. We have been at war with Iran since the storming of the Embassy in Tehran. This thug was responsible for the deaths of hundreds/ thousands of U.S. and coalition forces and the wounding and maiming of thousands more, but she wants to declare President Trump a war criminal. My God!!! In my mind this is treason. Free speech only goes so far. If the House votes for this every positive vote is treasonous too. GJ
