Rifles / I dont understand the 307. Why?

I dont get why they made this it's just a 700 action why not use a mark v action? Your weatherby not remington if people want a 700 action why not buy the remington for a cheaper price. It's the same price as a mark v for a complete rifle. It could just be me but it doesn't make sense. Plus the Mark v is the smoothest action I've ever felt.

 I miss the days of weatherby using the shoulder and belt. If you guys could make a new weatherby cartridge what would it be? I would make a 27x300 weatherby with a faster twist barrel so you could shoot a 170gr .277 going real fast. I'm excited to see what you come up with.

Reloading / 340wby needs help

Is anyone getting or exceeding factory velocity with a 250gr. Cause looking at load data nothing comes near the factory loads that I can find. The numbers in the books are just about a 338win and if that's the case I should have went with that over the 340wby. Any tips or load data would be appreciated.

Well guys I just bought my second Mark V. I got it in 270wby and I'm excited to see what it can do. I sold 2 vanguards in 270win and 300wby to get this gun. It's and accumark just like my 340wby. I'm putting a burris veracity 3x15 on it. Can't find ammo but have found brass and ordered dies for it. If anyone has this what's your load data if you don't mind helping out.

Well guys I got my first Mark V its a accumark chambered in 340 weatherby and holy hell it's an angry gun and I love it its shooting an 1in at 100 and 1 3/4 in at 200 ( no break in period ) the recoil isn't really bad at all. With the muzzle break on it feels like a 338 win mag. Next time I go to the range I'm gunna try it without the muzzle break on it

I just wanna know I listened to the on our mark podcast the other day and he said it should have been out but he wants to catch up on orders before he let's it out. What do you guys think it could be? caliber and case. I'm just hoping it's not another 6.5

So my dad and I talk about guns and calibers alot and he came up with an idea of how weatherby should introduce a vanguard every year in a different weatherby cartridge. It makes perfect sense to us for a few reasons one you put out rifles that are more affordable to your loyal customers that only come in the mark v's like 270wby 340wby and so on. Two your gunna sell more guns and shit ammo too. It seems like a win win for everyone. Anyone have thoughts on this would you guys buy a vanguard limited if they offered them. Cause I know I'd buy at least 2 of them 270wby and 340wby

hey guys just wondering what your thoughts are on breaking in your rifles do you break in and how you do it I myself do not and never have I shoot great groups shit I hardly clean my barrels after shooting a pass with a bore snake once and thats good enough I do clean the bolts very well and triggers. my dad did break in one rifle but didn't really see a difference between breaking it in or not he's a way better shot then I am. The pic is a 3 shot group with my 6.5 at 100

     So I've been reading the whitetail thread and wanna know what everyone's go to round for deer caliber, bullet, and weight is im mostly a bow hunter but I killed one doe with a 130gr Hornady precision hunter 270win out of my tc compass I did just buy a vanguard in 270win I will be using this season i bought some 140gr nosler game points for this gun.

    I've always loved the 270win my first one was a Remington 770 and it was terrible. I then got a tc compass and that thing shoots amazing. Today I bought a weatherby vanguard bandlands in 270win but just wondering why they don't make the 270 weatberby in the vanguard I would've bought that over the win. Lastly what are the advantages of having the 270 weatherby over the 270 win.
