Did a little load testing with the 6mm today. With the shortage of components l have had to do some switching around. Couldn’t get 6mm with small rifle primers. So got some 6.5 creedmore large rifle primers and necked them down. Had several hundred of those primers. Now l have been able to get small rifle primers again. Purchased some 6.5 creedmore brass with small rifle primer. So l now had brass and primers again.
Worked the load up again and ended up in the same spot with the new batch of components. 40.4 grains works good in this rifle

Completed the next phase of the habitat work on one of the properties. Planted 360 Sumac, 120 Sand plum, and 120 American plums. Will add a few more trees soon.
Next is the new well, starting this next week, weather permitting

Opening weekend went good. All the dogs worked well. A lot of missed shots as usual on Quail 
4 dogs and 2 people hunting. We should have had or limits both days. Cut both hunts short do to warm afternoons.

I have an Elk tag and a Bear tag. This hunt is not going well so far. Didn’t get to go on any scouting trips. Have all but missed the archery season. Set to head up Thursday morning.
Have had several things come up the last few months. Good thing l am retired and can adjust when l go.
