    just bought a accumark in 30-06
the muzzle brake has a I/D of .450
is this normal it seems a bit big for the caliber

I have asked that because I noticed very little reduction in recoil and the muzzle brake was not noisy

Rifles / shims on accumark

I have a accumark 6 lugs
when I took it appart some shims fell out from the aluminium bloc
4 of them
my question is how do I know where they go.    like 2 in the back and 2 in the front or otherwise

front screw seem to stop positively at 55 inch pounds the back seems mushy before it stop
when I put them loose the action seems to sit correctly on the block

any experience or tips on this

using graphite or mica to have a consistent seating force is there a danger of bullet set back with .002 case neck to bullet difference
