I don't have the slightest idea but you can call Weatherby at 1-307-765-7840 Monday morning and find out. The action may be threaded metric or in inches, same for the barrel. Nice finds by the way and welcome to the forum.

Dino is right.  WBY keeps very good recods and will share their info.  They had the info on my 1959 WBY MKV.
One other problem you will have is the bolt face.  A 30.06 would not work for a 270WBY.  It would for a 240WBY.  But I am not a gunsmith.

Before you start messing with it you should darn sure take note of where and how it's set before you do.I have opened a can of worms before only to find out that I wish I hadn't.My advice to you is,if the trigger is just not awful, don't mess with it.Buy a trigger shoe and it will lessen your perceived pull weight.

Good luck to you.

Great advice here.  My German is first generation with the tang safety.  I retired it now and I am keeping it all orginal with original WBY scope.

How do I adjust the trigger pull on my German Mark V?  The owners manual is too blurry to read. I don’t know which screw it is.

This is what I found long long ago, but I do not remember where anymore

"Trigger adjusting
On the German rifles, you'll need to remove the action from the stock. There are two small allen head screws on the trigger housing. The one on the rear adjusts the creep. Adjust it first, so there is at least 1/4 (preferably 1/2) turn before it trips. Then turn the allen screw on the front side counter-clockwise until you get to 3 pounds, or until it won't get any lighter (some guns won't go below about 4 pounds). Then go back the the creep screw and re-set the creep for 1/4 turn minimum."

My 1959 MKV deluxe came with a 2-7 weatherby scope.  Still have it.  Hunted with it for about 15 years before I retired it.

Thank you, I will start lower and work up from there. My book doesn't list 7828ssc.
You can also check Nosler data
https://www.nosler.com/300-weatherby-magnum
Hodgdon loading data, and Your bullet manufacturer.
Data will vary signifigantly

How many grains is your max? I'm just starting to work up a load for mine and any info would be helpful...Thanks

Book max with Mag Primer and 180TSX  is 85.  I am using CCI200 (Not magnum primer) and I am still way under.  I could probably find another "faster" load but I am happy with that

Retumbo. Who uses it ? 180 grain bullet. I have IMR 7828 SSC

I use IMR7828ssc with 180 bullets in one of my MKV rifles.  Under half inch at 200 yards

180 TSX works great with IMR7828 I actually use CCI200 primer for that

I have 4 MKV various vintages and countries or origin.  ALL are sub MOA, one with 180 Nosler BT, one with 180 Barnes TSX  (this is one 0.4 2 200 yeards) one with 200 Nosler PT and one with 200 Nosler AB.  Last two with RL22, first one with IMR4350 and the Barnes with IMR7828.
There was a batch of Weatherby and Hornady Ammo that neither two of my friends nor I could get to shoot MOA or less.  We just pulled the bullets for the brass.

Thousands of pistol rounds, this is my venture back in to Rifle
85, 85.5 and 86 grains of H1000 , Barnes triple shocks 3.6000 OACL... all chamber without issue.
Redding Dies and my Dillon 550 though it was one step at a time
will see what the target and chrono tell me...

didn't like the pics I tried to post...
I have one rifle that really likes IMR7828SC with 180TSX and CCI200
I have loaded with IMR4350 (180 BT) and RL22 (300 AB and 200 PT), four rifles, different load for each

A quick search says Remarms owned by Vista outdoors is making the rifles. No mention of any Ruger involvement!

Yep!  They also own Federal and CCI, Bushnell, among others

I took a couple rifles to check and a couple to crono and order dials for. Pictured because they were worth it (blue target) is my 7mm STW LH Accumark and white target as labeled is my 300 Wby Backcountry.

7mm stw - 195 grain EOL - 2830 average on the gun
300 wby - 180 sirocco's - 3260 on the gun
6.5-300 - 130 sirocco's - 3450 on the gun

Three shot averages listed above all were very tight IMO +/- 15-20fps range. First time really playing with this stuff, but I sure dig the accuracy in these rifles. The 6.5-300 shoots a half inch group itself and it is the original backcountry model green/tan stocks OG :)

Cheers - Donnie

Nice shooting. That 300WBY has been my favorite for a few decades now.

Well I wouldn't get to offended by a web based email distribution message, it wasn't a personal letter by any means much more of a press release statement. If they have your email contact info and your in the database you got the message and yes it will be non-reply. They couldn't handle that much mass data transfer, it's one way communication. All big companies and and governments use this for communication.

My hat is off to anyone who leads their company to meet consumer demand and build products to be a profitable company and keep employees in business. You can live or die by the sword and when you see an opportunity, you better capitalize on it or someone else will.

The biggest issues with the wood stocked rifles is when newbies get one they don't want do do anything with it but look at it? It's too pretty to hunt with! LOL - I have a safe full of guns my boys will probably never take to the field! How to you justify building tons more of those! :) It's good conversation piece, I thought it was cool that adam acknowledges and loves the history and legacy of his families company, but times do change. My encounters with his company has always been met with class and that means people enjoy where they work. That speaks volumes to me;

Cheers

I too love wood stocks, however, only have 4, a German MK V, 2 M70 Classic and a Ruger M77.  All the rest are synthetic and stainless so I can take them aywhere, knock them about and not worry about the scratches on the stock.

Back to WBY, anytime I contacted them on the customer support site, they have always been very responsive.  I don't have any issues with that. I had requested hitory on my rifles and had it within 2 hours.  That was impressive.

Finally, I just don't like anyone sending me a mass email I can not reply.  I usually unsubscribe after that.  But thats just me.

MKV and M70 are my favorite actions.  Unless I start buidling rifles, I can't see myself getting a Remington style.  Thats just a personal preference.

Cheers, or in our case, Giggem Aggies!  WHOOP!
